School Story:
I only attended for one year - the last one! I moved to Mt. Lebanon from Vancouver, Canada which is about 2500 miles away. The first source of amusement was the statement that I "must know [Joe Student] because he is from Canada too" - Canada had about 25 million citizens at that time. The second series of comments pertained to something much less amusing: the horrendous weather! I came from a temperate clime because Vancouver is between the sea and the Rockies so never got too cold and rarely got snow. My first winter in Pittsburgh had record snow falls (3 ft overnight) and freezing temps (-17 F with the wind chill). Many people would note that I must be used to such heavy snowfall and low temperatures having come from Canada...yes, but I had an igloo to hide in there...
