I remember that Greg had lost a lot of weight when I saw him at the 40th reunion. In fact, I he'd lost so much weight that I didn't recognize him and he may have already been quietly dealing with his illness. Greg enlisted in the Marine Corps after high school and attended boot camp at Paris Island, SC. We reconnected in 2008, and from that point forward Greg never failed to remember to call or text on the Marine Corps birthday, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. He was a good and kind man and a patriot. Rest in power, Greg. 'Til Valhalla, brother. Semper Fidelis!

Greg and I were teammates on the football and wrestling teams. We palled around throughout high school and even after college, while we both were still living in Western PA. I have some great memories with Greg—going to Steeler games, movies, going to various eating establishments, and discussing/reminiscing various games and plays during our high school football days. I know Greg loved Mt. Lebanon High School, the athletics and the community. I am glad I got to see him at our last reunion. My favorite memories with Greg were on Tuesday nights (during football season)  after our team meeting; we would go to Wendy’s for our 2nd dinner of the evening. We both loved to eat!  He was one of my best friends throughout high school. Greg and I did touch base once in a while; he was a good man with a big heart.

RIP Greg I haven’t physically seen Greg since we graduated. Greg was a Great guy. He was the kind of person that made Lemonade out of Lemons! We weren’t living in the best conditions but you wouldn’t know it because Greg rose above it all!
