Oh my gosh - had been talking to another classmate about how so many of us have passed on and decided to get out my log book and see if I could recall anyone. Scrolling thru I happened to see her name and freaked out. Kathleen and I go way back. She lived just one block from my house and we did things together on and off, from elementary thru high school. She saved my life in Junior High when some boys were trying to kill me....she hid me out in her grandma's house until they passed by every day...then she would walk with me home thru the woods as we called it then - now the cemetary grounds for mt lebanon cemetary. Kathy's mom was great - girl scout leader, I can still remember the house being so full of cookies you couldn't walk from the front door - Kathy has a sister younger but for the life of me can't remember her name...Kathy's mom and my mom didn't like each other...and that ended up separating us. But long after I moved to texas she and I found each other on classmates and we emailed over and over for a long time...this had to be in the 90's, then lost touch - she had divorced and had four children and lived in a burgh of Pittsburgh south or east of Alleghany co. At the time I knew exactly where she lived. She was district manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken of western Penns. I always thought - I could call her for a job. I just can't believe she has passed....worry about her children...if her mother is still alive and her sister....This is a terrible loss.

Just found some things - children Ashley - Mark - Nathen - Sean patrick

they lived in north versailles Pa

Rest in peace Kathy - I will remember you always.
Love Debbie

Kathy - after talking on the phone with Kathy's mother and emailing with her, she provided this information. Kathy died after a four year battle with breast cancer. She was determined to live long enough that her children would remember her. She was diagnosed, Just after I lost my email access with her and I moved, in 1999. Kathy worked up until six months before her death. She was just too weak to continue working. Her children were taken back by their father when she passed.

OMG! I too remember the girl scout cookies boxes at her house. She was a sweet girl. I pray that her children are blessed with lots of good memories of their mom.

Kathleen was my locker-mate for four years at school and after reading about her death, all I could think of was what a down to earth, funny, and kind person she was. We laughed so much in homeroom and shared many talks. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful person and a great listener. What a tremendous loss.
