DAVE!! We missed you VERY MUCH and yes your name came up more than a few times (Marla, Jay, Carl, Mark McFarlin, etc etc) over the weekend but we also know how ultimately COOL you are and love and support all of your Rock and Roll efforts! lol! The Reunion was a complete BLAST and we all had such a wonderful time partying and reconnecting. I got to see Carl and Meg, and Tom and Maria as well which was AWESOME!!! Please come to the next one!!! Love you and Jamie!!! xoxoxox Julie

Thanks to all who worked so hard to bring off a wonderful 40th Reunion.  The evening was a ton of fun, and it was great to reconnect with old friends.  My only regret is that I didn't get around to seeing many of you.  Looking forward to a 50th.

Thank you to everyone on the committee for organizing such a fabulous reunion weekend. I enjoyed catching up with old friends and meeting new ones .i just wish we had more time to interact with more people. It was great how so many of our class traveled to be here.

I've been enjoying all the photo's of the 40th reunion.  So happy everyone had a great time.  Maybe I'll be in a better position to make it to the 50th reunion.  Christy :)

I cannot believe our Reunion was one week ago! I was left after the Reunion weekend wondering if it had all been an excellent dream, or beautiful actual reality. It certainly passed by much too quickly, without enough time to catch up with all the wonderful friends who were present for the different events of the weekend.  Thank you Reunion Committee for doing a truly superb job organizing and facilitating an outstanding weekend for the Class of 78!  A big shout out to Amy Caldwell,Kathy Eck, and Amy Rodgers- beautiful work ladies! All your stress and hard work was very visibly excellent!  Thank you to all the classmates who turned out to reconnect and share memories- it was so uplifting to be with all of you!  Can we do it again in less than ten years please?!

I agree Laurie. 10 years is too long. It's so important to stay connected to the people we grew up with. That was such a special time and place.

Who all had Mr. Marflak's for homeroom?

Also. Would anyone remember Mary grace Bodner and James Bolich?

Donald Drozynski (Drozynski)

Alby Oxenreiter sent me this picture this morning and asked if I knew any names. This is at Lincoln grade school.  I suppose some kids are not our age. Thanks for all you do taking care of the Class of 78 page.

Nick Fegan is first on the bottom on the left, Alby is second and I am third...after that ?

Don - I can name most of them.

Front row - Nick Fagen, Alby, you, ? (Steve Nesbitt?), Jeff Bazis, Joel Houston

Back row - Scott Griffith, John Hooper, Gary Rigby, Jerry Doherty, Doug Apple, Don Miller (RIP) and Bruce Guzik.

I think the coach on the left is Don Miller's dad - don't know about the one on the right.

Joe:

Beautifully done and thanks so much.

My brother married Steve Nesbitt's sister.  I have seen him several times over the years.  I still didn't recognize him, (too skinny, hair's too striaght, not enough glasses...) but that's him.

I will alert Alby, I really appreciate it. Thanks

I agree with Joe - and the coach on the right is Mr. Bazis.

He was convinced that the key to pitching was a long stride, and so he would draw a line in the dirt/gravel of Lincoln field.  To reach the line, most of us would need to leap from the rubber, leaving the ground completely - more Baryshnikov than Seaver.

Wow. That brings back so many memories. I think there were 6 teams in that Lincoln League. The Panthers were the green team, the Bears were the red team, the Lions were the light blue team, the Bisons were the either dark blue or black, the Sparrows were the purple team and I’m missing one? It might have been Wolves? I can just imagine the coaches drinking at that small back bar in Atrias behind the curtain coming up with those names - how the heck did the Sparrows get into that name mix? And I was on that squad.

Top row left -is that dan griffin ? Not Scott Griffith? I remember dan as much bigger than the rest of us in 6th grade. I was a 95 lb quarterback trying to run away from him all day.

Dave - This was Lincoln ES and Dan was from Hoover. Scott was also taller than most kids in 5th and 6th grade.

What became of Doug Hardy? We talked, once, in an NYU dorm cafeteria--and I never saw him again.
